"The Great War," also called The War To End All Wars, and what we today refer to as World War I, was over. To many it seemed that it had lasted many more years than the actual four—1914 to 1918.
It was 1919, the year The Treaty Of Versailles was signed; an Italy marked by post-war crises of every sort, but bubbling with great hopes for recovery, saw the first steps taken down the long road of reconstruction and revitalisation with the birth of Aurora, and the creation of the first true Italian fountain pen.
