The Ogiva Alba is a true homage to Omas history and tradition. Omas is approaching their 90th Anniversary (1925-2015) and this classical shape in the Ogiva was first introduced in 1927. This was the first iconic design made by Cavaliere Armando Simoni, and is still in production to this day. The Ogiva is characterized by the smooth design and the harmony of its rounded shape, which ensures comfortable writing. The Ogiva Alba is made out of Cotton Resin, which is a natural material made from cotton seeds that is durable, natural, and resists scratches and damage more than acrylic resin pens used in most other pens. Actually Omas has one of the strongest resins among the pen manufacturers.
The Alba collection is different from the earlier Vision Collection as the barrel is cylindrically fluted. The rhodium trimming with 18K solid gold nib accentuates the overall aesthetics of the writing instruments. It comes in three translucent demonstrator colors: orange, green and purple. These colors are inspired by the dawn of the Aurora Borealis, symbolizing Omas' birth.
Limited to 327 pieces, the piston filling fountain pens come with EF, F, M and B nib. Flexible nibs are also available but in 14K nib only. Please take note that all Flexible nib must be in 14K nib. The reason is because 14K nib has the "springy" effect which is an important requirement for flexible nib.
Very few pen makers make feeders our of ebonite these days. I am glad that Omas still made ebonite feeders individually and it is neatly crafted and heat set to each nib to ensure that user will enjoy writing with the latest Alba as much as one will enjoy looking at it.
