NAMIKI ORIGAMI KABUTO Kabuto, or the Samurai Headgear, is another popular Origami shape in the Japanese culture. An embodiment of “bravery”, “masculinity”, and “protection”, Kabutos were a prominent and important accessory of the warrior as it represented the way and code of the Samurai. In present day, Kabuto ornaments are displayed in the interior of the house during the Boy’s Festival (5 May) to express the hope for sons in the family to grow up strong and healthy. Set against a background of spinning pinwheels in the scented breeze of May, the rich-purple Kabuto on the Namiki pen body is a charming expression of summer iris blossoms.
