Sailor KANREKI is exclusive limited production model to celebrate Sailor’s nib designer Mr. Kagwaguchi Akihiro’s 60th birthday. He was the original designer of popular Professional Gear model. KAN represents Kawaguchis’s ideas of “Sense of Innovation”. In Japan, 60th birthday bears significant importance to everyone. KAN is designed with 3 rare kind RED color differs in body, cap, cap top & back to make a beautiful red pen with professional gear model.

Kanreki means not only 60 years old but also returning to the baby. The sexagenary cycle passes at 60 years old and they return to the baby once again. Red is used for baby clothes and red color is meaning of the talisman against evil. The Kanreki fountain pen is used as symbolic pen in celebration of the sixtieth birthday.
 
Kawaguchi Akihiro is very famous in Japan too and has been conducting pen clinics across cities in Japan.  Kawaguchi Akihiro and Nagahara Nobuyoushi are the top two respected great legendary pen masters in Sailor. Thus Sailor has launched both the Nagahara special King Of pen and Kawaguchi KAN in 2008.

 

This pen is fitted with a solid gold 21K nib and comes with its own gift box including bottle ink.
