Ukiyo-e or Image of the floating world represents a Japanese artistic movement comprising not only an original popular and narrative painting, but also prints of Japanese woodcuts from the Edo period (1603-1868) which shows varioue range of scenes dedicated to nature and everyday life.  Ohisa Takashima - Geisha and the art of fan.
