Pilot's unique capless fountain pen, known as the vanishing point, offers a retractable 18k gold nib in gloss lacquered barrel with gold plated trim.  Whilst a radical design, this pen offers exceptionally smooth writing and its seal, when retracted, is extremely effective in preventing drying out.  Ink is through the covertor, as supplied, or using dedicated cartridges.
